The VE Pro 5 user guide suggests specifying one thread for a single quad-core Mac when there are performance issues, but for a dual quad-core Mac (8 cores in total), I think the strategy is to reduce the number of threads by one and then see how it works, which you can do as an experiment, unless it's already set to one, of course. īased on information from Other World Computing, I find no reference to a singe quad-core 2.26-GHz Mac Pro, but there is a dual quad-core model, which is relevant to determining the correct value to use for threads in VE Pro 5 when there are performance issues. Nevertheless, I have a VSL user account, so I can download the user guides. I do everything n the Mac, but I do not have any Vienna Symphonic Library (VSL) products. Sometimes I play on my midi keyboard and some instruments give no sound but when I click on the play button on Notion the sound comes back.
Can it be that my system cannot handle it? I've got 64 GB Ram in my quad core mac pro 2,26 Ghz When I look in Vienna instrument Pro the volume is rising when I click on the keyboard of VI Pro but no sound.
